Post Move, Vacation, Marriage?

Hi, hey, How are ya? It's been a busy time for me. Let's begin with the final move.

Our second move was pretty easy for the most part. We once again packed up all of our belongings. We rented a twenty foot U-haul and tetrised everything into it. This time we also got a car hauler for my Xterra. We set off to Utah, I was driving the U-haul and my partner was driving her vehicle. The trip felt quick even though it was eight hours. One of my buddies turned me on to the murder bot diaries book series. If you are into SciFi then I can too recommend them. Any who, in these U-Hauls there is not Bluetooth, only aux. I forgot my aux cable in UT from the first trip out. You might be wondering how I listened to my audio book while driving? Earbuds? No, that's illegal! Bluetooth speaker on max volume baby! We rolled up to our new home around ten at night and crawled in bed pretty much right away.

Unpacking went smooth as well. One of my partners friends came over to help us unload the truck she was very helpful and was a big reason why unloading went like a breeze. We sent the truck back to U-haul and slowly situated all of our belongings into their places. Bing bang boom, the move was finished.

About a year ago my partners dad passed away. Since then she has been planning a trip to Hawaii to spread his ashes in the same place where her mom was laid to rest. The reasons for this trip is indeed somber, however her dad would want us to have more fun rather than to dwell on him. It was mighty kind to invite me to go with her.

I have never been to the fiftieth state and although I have this strange trait where I don't really get excited about anything. I was excited to travel and spend time with my partner in a new and beautiful place. My partner spent a lot of time with her family on the island of O‘ahu. That was the first stop on our trip. She booked us a beautiful room for us at the Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina. Our time spent in the hotel was eating great food, lounging by the pool, watching sunsets, walking the beach, spa treatments and overall enjoying each others company. Other activities included driving around in a convertible, seeing Pearl Harbor National Park. Oh yeah and asking my partner to be my wife. Our engagement was somthing that we had be working towards for about a year.

After O'ahu we flew over to the Big Island (Hawai'i) where we stayed in a little cabin in the rain forest. Our goal was two fold. First see lava at Volcano National Park and second exchange our vows on top of a volcano. We checked both of those boxes and it was pretty exhilarating.

My partner and I got married June 10 2025 in Colorado after dating for six years. I love her dearly and I can't wait for the next hundred years with her.

I'm sure that I could write way more about all of this but seeing that this post is two month old by this point, I think I'll leave this one here. Stay Restless
